Edson and Kelly are missionaries with Project AmaZon, serving in the city of Santarém in state of Pará, Brazil. Through social assistance in the health field, they work in supporting the local church in PAZ’s vision of evangelizing and church planting in the Amazon basin.
Edson is a dentist and works in Igreja da Paz’s social assistance clinic in the city of Santarém, in the local state prison providing free dental care, and on Paz’s evangelistic health boat, reaching out to the unreached and underserved river population. He is also involved in the cell ministry of the church and 1-on-1 discipleship.
Kelly graduated with a diploma in International Community Health from Elim Bible Institute. She is studying nursing at a University here in Santarém. Her responsibilities in the mission include coordinating visiting health professionals from the US and serving as an administrator of the mission’s health and water filter projects. When she is able, she travels on the mission’s health boats, working in the medical clinic. She also serves with Edson in cell group ministry and discipleship.
